Así ha sido anunciado hoy en el programa de radio Cadafal Faller, la comisión de la falla Pediatra Jorge Comin-Serra Calderona, popularmente conocida como Nou Campanar no plantará en Secció Especial en las próximas Fallas. La comisión más laureada de lo que llevamos de siglo pone así fin a 12 años ininterrumpidos de participar en la máxima categoría.
Nació en 2003 en la periferia de la ciudad de Valencia, en una nueva zona residencial, y lo hizo apuntando alto, directamente en Secció Primera. Al año siguiente no se hizo de rogar, y ya se puso a frente a frente con las comisiones de la zona alta de la tabla, llevándose su primer triunfo en Secció Especial.
La historia de esta comisión no es precisamente discreta. En sus 13 años de historia se ha alzado con 7 primeros premios de la Secció Especial, 6 de ellos consecutivos de 2004 a 2009, y otros 7 primeros premios en Secció Especial Infantil. Han contado entre sus artistas con grandes campeones de les Falles como Pedro y Miguel Santaeulalia, Pere Baenas o Julio
Monterrubio, con quien lograron plantar la falla más cara de la historia en 2009, rondando el millón de euros. El pasado año ya no consiguieron militar en Especial infantil, tras el último trabajo de David Moreno, y dicho artista asumió la realización de ambas fallas dándoles, junto a Miguel Arráiz una perspectiva experimental que les valió el triunfo en esta modalidad, pero no consiguió galardón como falla de Especial.
La falla de los récords, de los presupuestos astronómicos, de los volúmenes megalíticos, de los millones de visitantes y los impactos mediáticos, que ha marcado una década de Falles necesita un respiro y un replanteamiento. Su presidente, Antonio Platero, ha anunciado que pronto harán una comparecencia pública, donde explicaran el nuevo proyecto, la sección en la que militarán y los artistas que lo efectuarán.
